• “Vehicle” refers to any motorized unit that is part of the Company’s fleet, including but not limited to cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, and any other self-propelled road vehicles equipped with manufacturer-installed or aftermarket telematics and GPS devices used for rental or leasing purposes.
• “Website” refers to Jim Pattison Lease, Visa Rentals and Leasing and/or Jamieson Motor Products, accessible from www.jimpattisonlease.com or https://www.visatrucksonline.com/ or https://www.jamiesonrentals.com/.
• “You” means the individual accessing or using our Website, or Vehicles, or any legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using our Website(s) or Vehicles, as applicable.

Rental and Leasing Notice

The Company is required to collect certain personal and corporate information (as applicable) when establishing rental agreements, lease agreements or providing other services to our customers. The intent of this notice is to provide details on how the Company collects, uses, and discloses personal information gathered from the customer through the use of products or services either online or offline.

The Company reserves the right to change, update or amend portions of this Privacy Notice from time to time. It is the customer’s responsibility to review the notice as required. Any disputes regarding how personal information is handled by the Company will be governed by the terms of the rental or lease agreement, or the terms of the Website, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

When renting or leasing a vehicle, personal information is collected only when provided and authorized by You. Information may be collected by telephone, fax, posted mail, email, at the counter, or from enrollment forms. Additionally, information can be gathered through the use of the Website, mobile apps or various products and services offered by the Company.

Vehicle Rentals

Customers are required to provide certain personal information when completing a vehicle rental reservation or renting a vehicle. Personal information collected by the Company may include but is not limited to:

• Contact information (name, email address, home and/or business phone number, etc.)
• Information from driver’s license or other government issued identification of the renter or additional drivers (card number, address, date of birth, expiration date, etc.)
• Payment information (credit card details if applicable)
• Insurance information (policy number, details, coverage, provider, broker, etc.)
• Demographic information (age, gender, rental preferences, etc.)
• Rental information (rental location, special equipment requests, return location, inquiries or complaints, payment terms, gas consumption, mileage, accident history, or other information related to the use of the vehicle)

This information is used to administer the vehicle rental and improve the overall customer experience. The information may also be used for business purposes (payment collection, incident investigation and enforcing the Company’s legal rights). Information collected will be done so in compliance with applicable laws.

Vehicle Data

Rental vehicles may be equipped with devices that can receive commands and/or send information including geolocation data from a global positioning system (GPS). These devices may be imbedded directly into the vehicle by the manufacturer or installed by the Company. In all cases, You should consider these devices turned on at all times even when other services or media in the vehicle are turned off. Information relayed from the device may include but is not limited to:

• Odometer
• Fuel level
• Diagnostic and performance data
• Engine fault and diagnostics data
• Tire pressure
• Speed
• Accident or damage information
• Geolocation
• Direction of travel
• Other vehicle-related information

Information obtained from the vehicle assists with software updates, maintenance scheduling, product support, accident/emergency response and identification of lost or stolen vehicles. This information may be shared with third parties who assist the Company in providing and improving offerings or with law enforcement agencies to enforce the terms and conditions of the vehicle Rental Agreement, in accordance with applicable laws.

Information Sharing

Certain Vehicle data and personal information may be used or shared on an as-needed basis with Company affiliated and non-affiliated organizations that support the following:

• Driver’s license or other government identification verification
• Payment processing and credits
• Fraud checks
• Provision of customer assistance, roadside assistance or emergency response
• Debt collection
• Claims processing
• Incident/accident investigation
• Third party service providers, as may be needed to provide any services required/requested

For corporate accounts, personal information may be shared with the organization that manages the associated account. Personal information will be shared with government, regulatory or law enforcement agencies as requested by these agencies, in response to action regarding illegal activities or violations, in perceived cases of emergency and as otherwise required or permitted by law.
